Sharon Cranfill’s Biography

WFCI Executive Director

Sharon has served as the Founder and Director of the House of Ruth recovery program since 2010, an initiative designed to support women aged eighteen and above. The House of Ruth is a Faith-based eighteen-month residential recovery program.  Alongside her husband Russell, she has successfully owned and operated various businesses for more than thirty years. Both are active participants in their church and community. The House of Ruth was honored to receive the “Indiana Recovery Residence of the Year 2022” award at the Indiana Mental Health Symposium held in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Sharon has served on the Fayette County Council for three years, including two years as board president. She holds a Bachelor of Theology and brings sixteen years of experience in the recovery field. In addition to her role as Executive Director of the House of Ruth, she holds several professional certifications, including CRS/CHW, CAPRC II, and Recovery Coach Supervisor, among others. These qualifications highlight her commitment and proficiency in the field of recovery services.
